It is with great sadness that we advise the passing of one of our greatest and most beloved Advocates and Administrators, John "Fitzy" Fitzgerald. 

The shooting movement, in particular ANZAC Rifle Range’s existence today is because of John.

Not only was he a great and passionate supporter of our sport, but his larger than life character brought much fun and laughter into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Fitzy amongst many other roles and commitments to rifle shooting, served as Chairman of the NSW Rifle Association 1999-2015 and Chairman of the NRAA 2006-2015. He was a Life Member of Marrickville Rifle Club.

John will be sadly missed. We extend our sympathies to his family and friends.

There will be a Ceremonial Last Shoot to farewell Fitzy around midday on Saturday 4th of May, before the commencement of the grade match shoots.
